Peloton is a popular at home cycling bike and subscription, but comes with a hefty price tag. We hit the internet to see if we could find a more affordable substitute to Peloton. The Yosuda Indoor Stationary Bike is a top-rated exercise bike on Amazon. We bought one and took it for a spin, read on for how it went!

Exercise Bike Set Up

From the Yosuda bike reviews on Amazon, customers reported that bike setup took 30 minutes to an hour, which was our experience. The package was quite heavy and was going to the basement, so opening the box and taking the pieces down one at a time made transport easier for one person. The heaviest piece is the main bike stand, which is made of metal. The instructions were easy to follow and the most difficult part was lining up the screw threads properly. While a wrench was included, it was easier to tighten using a more legit wrench tool.

At Home Cycling Classes

We found some free cycling classes to try on YouTube. It was great to be able to stream the instructor led spinning class for free with the music included, but the ones we tried all had ads, which might be annoying to some. You could also think of ads as short little breaks or additional work out time! Many of the Yosuda bike reviewers on Amazon mentioned this is a great bike to buy to use with the Peloton subscription. If you get a Peloton subscription with the Yosuda bike, you can stream the classes at home, but you won’t see your rank or statistics on leaderboards like those who have the actual Peloton bike.

Yosuda Stationary Bike for In-Home Cycling Workouts

If you just want to get a quick bike ride in, the Yosuda is a sturdy, quiet option for your home gym. The knob that adjusts the resistance is similar to those in cycling classes. The digital display is battery operated and leaves much to be desired, so you may want to track your workouts using an Apple Watch, fitbit, or the stopwatch on your smart phone. The water bottle holder appears small but fits a standard sized water bottle nicely.

All in all, the Yosuda Exercise Bike has been a solid purchase. It is a great exercise bike for under $400 and it arrived within a week thanks to Amazon Prime. We added the two year warranty option to ensure we’d have this gym alternative in working shape for a while.
