Since 2012, The Roost Carolina Kitchen has been serving up the best chicken and biscuits. They currently have four locations: in Lakeview, Wrigleyville, River West and The Loop. If you haven’t made a visit there, you’re definitely going to want to do that as soon as you can (warning: the only thing is that you’re going to leave wanting more).

Going into The Roost, you will definitely have to make the tough decision of picking one meal to get. But, it seems that no matter what you decide to order, you’re going to be walking out very happy… and VERY full. We have tried the House Style sandwich which comes with coleslaw, dill pickles, and chipotle ranch on a biscuit. We also tried the Chicken & Cheddar which has sharp cheddar and dill pickles, but instead of getting it on a biscuit, we decided to get it on a Hawaiian roll. Both were absolutely delicious and each came with either two sides or one side and one dessert. We had the Creamy Mac & Cheese, the Roasted Green Beans, and Coleslaw. All in all, we made great decisions and left with a new favorite restaurant.

Next time you’re in the mood for some fantastic fried chicken, a cold brew (select beers actually could be ordered in a 32oz take home cup), and the southern hospitality from the workers, then make your way over to The Roost.
