Chicago Skeeball Bars and Leagues
Skeeball, beer ball, and Brewskee-Ball lanes and leagues are popping up across the nation. Skeeball was invented in 1909, and has been a popular arcade game and amusement park activity. In its first 100 years, Skeeball has also landed itself in many bars, some hotels, and for a lucky handful of folks, as a household game. One prerequisite for any skeeballer is the ability to create and listen to an endless amount of skee puns...you'll skee what we mean.
Chicago's Skeeball League
The Skee League also hosts special events, private parties, and an annual skeeball tournament and fundraiser to support the patients and families battling Leukemia and other blood cancers.
Glascott's has two machines, one in each bar area, which anyone can pay to play during non-league nights.
Begyle Brewing has one beerball machine downstairs, and two machines upstairs. The Chicago Skeeball League operates rotating seasonal leagues and Monday night open tournaments for Skeeball lovers.
All 3 lanes at Begyle are used for league play, but only the first floor machine is available for non-league play...that is unless you rent the upstairs for an epic Skeeball party!
REPLAY LINCOLN PARK
Replay Beer and Bourbon is home to The Skee League's Lincoln Park league and tournaments.
CHEESIE'S WICKER PARK
Cheesie's Pub and Grub is grilling up decadent sandwiches and lots of fun with their skeeball machines and electronic darts. The Wicker Park pub has two skeeball lanes and The Skee League has run both leagues and private events.
As mentioned above, The Skee League holds special events and tournaments, some of which support causes such as the Leukemia Research Foundation and Ride for AIDS. While veteran rollers make it look easy, rolling a perfect game is an incredible accomplishment!
Chicago Skeeball Bars
In addition to joining a local league, skeeball enthusiasts can roll into one of these bars to shoot for some hundos.
The River North location of Headquarters has a vintage lane. Pair craft beer and vintage arcade and video games of all kinds at this adult beercade.
THE FLAT IRON
This Wicker Park watering hole also has a skeeball lane - if you time it right, you can pair a skee game with a Chicago Handshake!
THE SLIPPERY SLOPE
Rollers may not have to wait as long at Logan Square's Slippery Slope, which has a row of 3 machines.
Rocks River North
The downtown location of Rocks has one beer ball machine.
Emporium's barcades have skeeball machines in Wicker Park and Fulton Market.
Streeterville's FTW arcade has skee machines, a full bar, food, and a kid-friendly environment.
The Gold Coast restaurant and game hall has multiple Skeeball machines in addition to their playground of video and arcade games. This location is kid-friendly (with parents in tow) until 11pm.
