Find coffee shops, breweries, bars and restaurants serving coffee on tap in Chicago. Before diving into the list you ma be wondering, what's the difference between nitro coffee and a regular tap? Our friends at The Keg Outlet have the answer and it's a bit gassy...Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is the gas used to carbonate soda and beer, while Nitrogen is recommended for putting coffee on tap. That said, coffee poured from a tap could be a Nitrogen/CO2 blend, but in general it shouldn't be bubbly like a soda.

BEGYLE BREWING
Begyle Brewing in Irving Park serves Ipsento's nitro along side its craft brews. After you get caffeinated, play some board games or roll a round or two on their skeeball machines.
NIGHTHAWK CHICAGO
Nighthawk in Albany Park is part coffee shop, part bar. The cold brew on tap is made with La Colombe roasts. By day locals swing by for their daily cup of Joe, and by night visitors watch sports and visit with friends.
STAN’S DONUTS
All Stan's Donuts locations in Chicago have Stumptown cold brew on nitro, as well as in bottles.
LA COLOMBE
All three La Colombe locations in Chicago (West Loop, Wicker Park and Andersonville) have rotating specialty drinks on tap like the black and tan, in addition to straight cold brew.
BEATRIX
Beatrix has nitro among other specialty coffee drinks at its River North and Streeterville coffee bars, and often has deals (like $2 nitros) to celebrate National Coffee Day - well played!
WEWORK
WeWork’s Grant Park location has cold brew coffee and matcha on tap thanks the Limitless Coffee - you’ll need to be (or know) a member of the coworking space in order to fill up.
CAFFE STREETS
Caffe Streets is another Wicker Park option that has a nice outdoor patio to bring fido or catch up on some reading. When the sun is hiding the cafe's interior and ceiling pretty cool too!
