The Branch Manager Files
Little Teek, the Branch Manager at Chicago Rex documents her favorite dog friendly spots in Chicago.
Clark Street Ale House
Our favorite local spot. They don't serve food so dogs are welcome inside year-round, and you can bring in your own grub or snack on free popcorn and pretzels. On nice days there is also a beer garden, where they've hosted bocce ball leagues, yoga classes, and other cool stuff.
Meeting a Russian Bear Dog...puppy.
Parson's Chicken and Fish
The patio is a must-visit in Humboldt Park. For humans, there are Negroni slushies and fried chicken to get you energized to play ping pong in the beer garden.
Begyle Brewing
Play skeeball and drink craft beer. Begyle is one location of The Skee League, and also hosts tournaments from time to time. The brewery also has beer yoga classes and a stack of board games to play.
Kirkwood
Bring your friends with you! Dogs are allowed on the sidewalk patio, humans only inside and in the beer garden. This bar and restaurant has games like bubble hockey and giant Jenga.
Burger Bar
Craft beer on tap and a variety of burgers. Dog friendly patio and generally a kid friendly restaurant with a photo booth inside.
"Give me some of your tots."
Sip Coffee House
On sunny days, the quiet garden at Sip in West Town is a serene place to soak in the sun or relax in the shade.
Beatrix
You can catch Teek lunching and brunching on the Beatrix patio in River North. In addition to a great food menu, Beatrix is part coffee house, serving Intelligentsia and Metric coffees. They have nitro coffee on tap and also have pressed juices.
George Street Pub
GSP is a sports bar with a dog-friendly back patio. This Lincoln Park neighborhood bar has a solid beer list and is a Maryland college and professional sports hub.
Taste of River North
During the summer, dog friendly street festivals and farmer's markets are a must. There are always refreshments and friends like Dog. Hotel and Daycare at the Taste of River North.
Homeslice
Patiently awaiting pizza leftovers while people watching.
